I have always looked for ways in which to be creative. After dabbling in photography when I was a teenager, I moved onto writing and poetry for many years. I came back to photography in the digital age, buying myself a Canon Rebel XT in 2005. I began a journey of discovery in August of 2006 by taking a self-portrait every day for two years. During that time I not only learned much about myself, but also about photography—about what works and doesn’t work; about processing techniques; about artistry.

I try to capture in photographs my view of the world...sometimes that is optimistic, sometimes cynical, and other times filled with wonder. I seek to create an emotional response.
