Barbara Ann's is primarily a self-taught artist in acrylic and watercolor painting. Her artwork is of a contemporary realistic style. She has won awards for her art work and has original paintings and prints in private collections both across this country and internationally. Her paintings and prints sold for years on EBAY and at a local gallery, which she helped run. One of her original paintings is now displayed at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C and two were commissioned by a local restaurant. She created art note cards for members of the Red Hat Society and they are sold nationally.

Barbara Ann's paintings reflect her love of color, texture, and light. She paints the beauty of nature with what she calls "the luminous quality of transparent acrylics and watercolors." Glaze upon glaze of transparent acrylic or watercolor help her achieve the glow of color often found in nature.
Through her paintings, you can also experience the pleasure of really observing all types of subjects: from the small creatures you can find in your own backyards, to exotic animals in the zoo, and rare flowers found at Cypress Gardens, in her hometown. Her floral paintings are often inspired from flowers grown in her own garden.
