Artist Statement I am a Native Texan, wife, mother, teacher, lover of animals and nature. I have a long, rich history and relationship with Texas and find myself constantly inspired by the characters, colors and creatures that surround me in my everyday life. My love of nature as well as my deep southern roots inspire me and is reflected in my art. My art is best described as Representational with easily identifiable subject matter, a dash of whimsy and a pinch of abstract. I am blessed to be able to paint out of my studio just steps from my backdoor. This wonderful studio space allows me to work freely anytime I feel inspired. My family, gardens, animals and nature often serve as inspiration for my art. My life IS my art.
