DescriptionThese figures were hand made by a craftsman in Zimbabwe & being sold by his brother in a Cape Town market as they would fetch better money there. Two large tables were full of these figures, and the family of three caught my eye amongst the other figures.
James Gambs, Guildford Member Since September 2009 Artist Statement I have always had a passion for creative art, from photography to painting, and studied art throughout college.
Originally I got into film photography as a hobby in the early 90's using a borrowed Nikon F2. It was a fantastic camera even with a broken light meter.
At that age I had many different interests, and after a couple of years photography took more of a back seat, although the interest always remained with me.
Now in the digital age, I find the opportunities so vast, both within photography, and the editing software available. Since purchasing my first DSLR, I have rediscovered where I left off.
I really hope others enjoy viewing my work as much I enjoy creating it!
New images will be added every so often, so if you like my work, please check back regularly.
