Description While on a Bureau of Land Management field trip to band young ferruginous hawks in their nests, we came across these young ravens on one nest platforms. They didn't try to fly away but they did what they could to look threatening. The adults were not seen. Shot in the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area, near Boise, Idaho.
Jane Rohling, Eagle, ID Member Since January 2009 Artist Statement I have been a photographer for over 35 years. Most of my images have been of natural subjects and photography has been a valuable tool in my profession as an interpreter of natural and cultural history. In recent years I've been challenging myself to shoot many more subjects. I'm particularly enjoying working with details taken out of context, juxtapositions of man-made and natural elements, and with abstract patterns. Digital photography has given me the freedom to experiment and play with the images in the camera and in the computer. I hope you enjoy the results!
Note: Many of the images in my galleries are available in much larger files than I have uploaded here. Please contact me if you're interested in a larger size print that what than the file that appears in the gallery to see if I have a larger file.
