Description Pioneer days are made real again at the Patagonian Institute's Museo del Recuerdo , part of the Universidad de Magallanes in Punta Arenas, Chile. On display are a collection of antique farm and industrial machinery, a typical pioneer house and shearing shed, and a wooden-wheeled shepherds' trailer. The library has historical maps and a series of historical and scientific publications. It was a rainy day and whenever a busload of tourists would arrive these performers would get out of their car to welcome them and then seek shelter in their car until the next busload arrived.Original photo.
