W Scott Fenton, loveland co. Member Since July 2007 Artist Statement Hello, my name is Walter Scott Fenton, I am a Colorado native. I' ve been painting in oils for 35 years, often painting at least a painting a week, for all but about 2 years, when I moved up to Loveland Colorado. I was fortunate to have found some good teachers along the way, but as you know their is no substitute for practice! I was also a teacher of oil painting for about 5 years. I advocate the "science of Painting" which the alphabetical application of painting. My style is a small brush technique with broken color impressionism- realism , with an emphasis on value control, and color transiton. My greatest achievement is to have sold my painting at Christies East at aution 1988. titled Bridalveil Falls
