Artist Statement I have been a student of photography for many years and still learning. Being bicoastal gives me a wide variety of landscapes to photograph, the beauty of the Sonoran desert in Arizona and the stunning scenery of the Washington DC area. After my retirement several years ago I decided to spend more time taking pictures and appreciating the beauty of the world around me. Many of photos are a result of my weekly hikes in the deserts of Arizona or the scenic vistas in the DC area. My childhood was spent in California, consequently I love the beach and appreciate the photographic opportunities of both the Pacific and Atlantic coastlines.
