Artist Statement Painting is my driving passion! Without it I feel disconnected! I work in vibrant, lively color resulting in cheerful, uplifting pieces. My subject matter ranges with my passions... shoes, gluten-free living & food, vintage fashion and reflecting the beauty of african american and multi-racial children!
Through my art I am celebrating life, nature, creativity, motivation and color. I am obsessed with color and it is quite often my inspiration - and where I live in my art.

I found watercolor in college, while getting my degree in Fashion Design and Illustration, and was immediately fascinated by its vibrancy, fluidity, and the challenge of a medium that can’t be entirely controlled. It is exciting – sometimes nerve wracking… especially as I near the completion of a painting. So I continue to learn and experiment.
