Artist Statement Stefania Osella was born in Turin, Italy, in 1969.
She lives in Ivrea ( Turin, Italy) but she travelled a lot and she lived abroad for a few years.
As a child she spent four years in New York, then she visited several American and European cities .
She took her degree in Architecture at the Politechnic of Turin and she prepared her doctoral dissertion and degree thesis in Urbanism at the Wayne State University of Detroit.
She has been painting all her life in a particular way, using her fingers instead of brushes, in direct contact with the colours.
The technique she uses has been developed through the years, mixing oil colours, airbrush with pencils and Indian ink outlines, always on big and rigid panels of plywood
