Artist Statement Self taught artist from the north-west of England very near the coast which gives me a lot of inspiration.
I have been painting in oils for 20 years I started with portraiture which I still do occasionally, mostly now I enjoy abstract and impressionism I love the freedom and love building up many layers of paint which gives texture and beautiful colours can be merged.
Horses have been a part of my life since being a little girl I was always around them and ended up working as a groom, I try to capture their elegance and grace when I paint them I tend to paint straight onto the canvas with palette knife and allow the picture to form.
I also love painting many other subjects and I try to have a go at everything, recently I have been painting seascapes and landscapes with inspiration from my surroundings which I thoroughly enjoy.
Keep an eye out I am always painting and producing new work on a daily basis.
