Artist Statement John G. Mansfield, Jr., born in Tacoma, Washington April Fool's Day in 1942, graduated from Stadium H.S., Class of 1960. Entered U.S. Navy 1960 and was an RM2(SS) qualified in submarines. Worked for the Federal Government 1966-1972 as a communications officer. In 1975, he graduated from the University of Puget Sound, with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. He is retired from the US Government, has published a non-fiction military history book called "Cruisers for Breakfast" and is an active member of the Veterans community. He began taking photos at the age of 12 with a "Box Brownie" given to him by his Grandmother.
He owns Media Center Publishing in which he does photography and video productions.
