Artist Statement My interest in photography began about 10 years ago with my dad's Minolta just playing about on family holiday's, Other things took my interest over the next few year's with photography simmering in the background, always coming to the fore for a few weeks when I went on holiday where I would realise again how much I enjoyed it.

I only really got back into photography after buying a point and shoot digital camera, Not having to buy and develop film gave me the option to try new ideas and camera settings without worrying about ruining a film. It went on the back burner again after I started racing motorbikes until I went travelling.

I spent three months travelling around New Zealand where a combination of the beautiful scenery and a professional photographer called Joe Levine started up my passion again. Watching Joe walking round with her DSLR and seeing the picture's she was taking and noticing that we had a similar eye for a photograph, encouraged me to try a bit harder and really look for the picture.

After I came home and got a good response from some of my shots I decided to invest in a Canon 350D and see what I could do.
