Artist Statement My name is Bethany. I have been a wonderful aspiring artist sense I was 5. I have several of my oil paintings hanging around my boyfriends house and my fathers house and they all enjoy them alot. My photography is not based on a setting or style, I basically use what ever my imagination wants me to use. I am limited on camera resources so I have been using a computer camera that doesn't go any farther than 10 feet away from the computer so I have to get creative with small things, other wise I would be out in this world taking breath taking photos of small things we in our busy lives don't usually have the time for. When I come out with an art piece, I like it to be some thing we don't see very often and also very detailed. I myself have a bad artistic habit of noticing the small things in life which can some times ruin things for other people, but in my eyes everything that isn't the best thing...I can show you the beauty in the ugly, the light in the dark. I can show you color in a black and white photo. I bring out the beauty in everything when I draw, paint or take a picture. You have to capture things in their worst moments to capture the reality and beauty of real emotion. There is nothing more real and artistic than that.
