Artist Statement My art shares my love for Australian Cattle Dogs, cats, and the animal kingdom. Painting from my heart, my desire is to show the beauty and depth of animals from their eyes outward; I strive through my work to show the inner strength and personality of the individuals. I'm self-taught so each canvas is a path of exploration to find the inner spirit of my subjects. When I finish a canvas, I can almost "feel" the subject through my fingertips over the surface of their portrait, they become a part of me.

I've rescued many cats, a horse and my love of ACDs (cattle dogs) led me to join with special friends to start a non-profit ACD rescue to save this special breed from shelters and abusive situations. Some of my subjects come from dogs fostered with our rescue. Thanks for visiting my site.
