Artist Statement I have been creating art my entire life starting with simple sketches to Oil on canvas to commissioned portraits. Although I enjoy painting, I find I'm in better control with a pencil or graphite stick. I am now working on a new series featuring different sports legends from the past. I started with the one and only Mickey Mantle, I've always loved the history of baseball and this is easily my favorite work I've done so far. The art bug is back in my system after a very long break. The second piece to this series will be one of my favorites Bobby Orr. I've just starting outlining so stay tuned....much more to come.
