Description Saving Grace is a 30 by 22 watercolor by Marcell Easter. Grace Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina has undergone some major building renovations. The historic renovation is called Saving Grace. During that time Redtailed Hawks nested in the steeple and hatched two chicks. Once known, the renovations in that area were immediately stopped in an effort to protect the birds. Sadly the chicks dissappeared with no trace. The painting is a tribute to the animals and to the efforts toward 'Saving Grace'
Marcell Easter, Charleston, SC Member Since February 2008 Artist Statement I am a self taught watercolor artist and sometime photographer. I began my work in international accounting and finance. Now I have a gallery for myself and several other artist. I am always trying to do new things with watercolor paint. Much of what I do is on watercolor boards so that the final painting can be glazed and framed without glass. I want to remove the barrier of glass between the art and the viewer. I am always looking for ways to improve my art and how it is perceived. Take a minute and let me know what you think.
