Description On a late afternoon the tram 11 stops at Peter Merian, near the Swiss Railway Station of Basel. The sun is slowly thinking about setting. In this sharp backlight, the buildings and the tram viaduct become geometric shapes. Curves, rectangles, lines, following each other rhythmically, emphasizing their modern architecture.
Albert Nagy, Budakalász Member Since September 2008 Artist Statement Since my early childhood I have been in love with trains. Although professionally I became a bassoon player, I didn't forget my "first love" ever. Once, about ten years ago, I started to photograph trains, but getting bored of taking photos at train stations only to document a train or locomotive, I began to photograph the train as a part of a landscape, looking for the harmony of nature and technics. While trying to refine my photographic skills, I turned more and more to other subjects, such as landscapes (in general, so without trains), sea- and cityscapes and nature photography. In my gallery you can find a selection of my best works.
