Description Wisps of pink clouds at sunrise frame a perfect reflection of Red Rocks in Colorado. Details: This scene was captured on a July morning at Red Rock Canyon Open Space near Manitou Springs, Colorado. A combination of snow melt and summer rains filled this small lake, and the unusual calm of this morning left it glassy for a perfect reflection of park's geologic features which are reminiscent of nearby Garden of the Gods. The moon in the upper right adds an extra little detail to the scene, and it gave me inspiration for this image's name--'Tranquility Base' was the name of the spot where the astronauts of Apollo 11 first stepped on the moon almost exactly 45 years before this photo as taken.
