Artist Statement Painting murals outside in urban landscape is what I enjoy most in my creative spectrum.. Canvas is where I've put my energy increasingly over the past 10 years or so. .I use graffiti based techniques in all of my work. Markers, spray paint, airbrush, stencils, roller paint. I still do a good amount of brush work. I start my paintings with a blank slate. After I get some coverage I start thinking of a concept. little by little images appear. I put a big emphasis on clean lines and solid filled in colors.I feed off my own life experiences for ideas but everyone looks at my work in their own way...I do shows in Chicago here and there. More on an underground level. It gives you a chance to get real opinions and compare your work to other artists doing similar work..
