Description Ephesians 6:12 describes the armor of God: the helmet of salvation to protect one's mind; the breastplate of righteousness to protect one's heart; the belt of truth to protect against deception; the feet shod in the readiness of the gospel to tell the good news; the sword of the Word of God and the shield of faith to quench the fiery darts of the wicked one. With God's power, these are the only defense against the enemy of human souls.
