I have always loved to take pictures. Even when I didn't have a camera with me, I took a mental snapshot of memorable scenes/ events. I began taking more photos in the 1990's but, being rather "over the top", took numerous shots, which, using film, could get quite pricey. For example, in 2000 I went to France for 2 weeks, and brought 40 rolls of film with me and used all but 4 rolls!
Imagine my elation when digital SLR cameras became available! I could take hundreds of photos to my heart's content and not spend any money on them at that point. Then I could play around in Photos...

Imagine my elation when digital SLR cameras became available! I could take hundreds of photos to my heart's content and not spend any money on them at that point. Then I could play around in Photoshop and crop and edit them in ways that were pleasing to me. Finally, I could have them printed, mat and frame them and they were ready to be displayed!
I grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where I began my amazement and appreciation of beautiful skies. To me, the most spiritual times I have are watching sunsets. So you can see that I have posted several sunset pictures.
I began entering my photographs into local juried shows in 2005. I have gotten accepted into every show I have entered, to date (February 21, 2009 :-). I am now playing around with black and white and sepia photography. I will be adding new photos to my collection soon.
In addition to photography, I am an award-winning artist primarily working in watercolors. I am also an accomplished calligrapher and custom-make projects which combine my calligraphy with watercolor backgrounds.
I hope you enjoy these images. Let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Linda Foltz
