Tracy Haines spent her childhood in Omaha, Nebraska. Shortly after high school she left home, taught herself how to play bass guitar and within several months joined a traveling band. Tiring of late nights in smokey bars, she decided to pursue higher education. At age 27, Tracy obtained entrance into medical school, graduated with an M.D. From University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and eventually practiced dermatology for several years. At age 27, Tracy obtained entrance into medical school, graduated with an M.D. From University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and eventually practiced dermatology for several years. Married, with 3 children, Tracy decided to stop working and put all her energy into taking care of her family. Bored when all 3 kids were away at school, she set up an art studio, bought a set of pastels and paper and found her true calling.
