I was born and raised in Spartanburg, SC. It was while in high school that I first realized that art was a way for me to express myself. I took every art class I could fit into my schedule. In 1990, I moved to Tallahassee, FL to attend Florida State University. I majored in Art Education. In 1993, my husband took a position in Venice, FL. So we moved to Venice and I completed my degree at the University of South Florida in 1994. I have been teaching Art for 10 years. I love it! Recently I decided to share my work with others. It has been a huge decision for me to put myself out there. I believe it is important for an artist to grow in order to be successfull. I believe showing my art is the next step in my journey as an artist.
