Sherry Durkin is a self taught artist that grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. She is currently working on a Bachelor of Fine Art degree at Mississippi University for Women. Her artwork has been entered in student and collegiate art shows. Several pieces are in the Rosenzweig Art Gallery located in Columbus, MS.

Her abstract images are derived from nature. Her photos of flowers, butterflies and plants are computer enhanced to create an abstract image.

She works in photography, fiber arts, ceramics and printmaking. She also enjoys general crafts.
