My aim - like the Impressionist painters - is to catch and preserve a moment in time, a splashing wave, a sunbeam, a passing expression. Nature in all its wonderful forms moves all the time, moment by moment. I find photography addictive - so many changing patterns, so much to see.
My job as photographer is to catch those special moments - a ray of light slanting through storm clouds, the golden glow as the sun dips beneath the horizon - the inspirational, the dramatic, and the beautiful.

My favourite subjects are landscapes and seascapes, touched by brilliant sunshine, or raucous storm, and also animal portraits, particularly horses and dogs. I look for the unposed and free moving, the glint in the eye which catches the essence of character, and perhaps an element of humour.
