These aren’t the abstractions of fantastical far away lands, however, but the oddities of my literal and figurative back yard.

It’s my intention to investigate in depth the visual world of my immediate surroundings and uncover, if it exists, the strangeness of my everyday world. Yep, it’s that old saw: ‘exoticize the normal’. This could be an avoidance mechanism against the crushing boredom of my life, redecorating the cell as it were, or it could be an actual exploration of what it means to look intensely and see intentionally. Most days it’s a little of both.
