I am most strongly influenced by ancient design and artwork, such as Celtic knotwork, and Asian and Arabic styles of calligraphy. I love to play with negative space, I love the contrast between light and dark. My artwork has recently progressed into the world of color, and I feel that it brings a new depth to my illuminations. I call the style of my artwork Anima Mundi because I feel like it is a picture of my relationship to the soul of the world. They are snapshots of a moving image caught in a moment of time.
