My painting is an intuitive process, I do not begin with any preconceived ideas about what I want the final pieces to look like. I've been influenced most by the landscape and that is what comes out in my work. Not specific places, but images that come about by "searching" through layers of paint, and finding a world that exists outside of time and place. Through this process I can evoke more of a subconscious element to my work and bring into physical form images that are a combination of past places, memories, and dreams.
