As a child I was always encouraged to embrace my inner artist. I received my first camera when I was about eight or nine years old, it was an old 110, but you couldn't tear me away from it if you tried! As I grew older, so did my interest in photography. In high school I was fortunate enough to get into a photography class and was introduced to my very first Nikon slr...it was love at first sight! It was not until a few years ago when I became pregnant with my daughter that my desire to be a photographer came back like a gale force wind. I dove head first into back into it and have not stopped since. I enjoy shooting with my beloved Holga (should have kept up with the darkroom!) and my other baby, my Nikon D300. My style ranges from contemporary to photojournalism on a day to day/professional basis, but my heart belongs to fine art photography; an area in which I will never claim to be a professional because every day and situation brings something new and a wonderful learning experience. Art is everything to me. I love my family and friends with all my heart and they are a constant inspiration.
