As a Christian creator in the age of Lifeway brand art, I'm something of an aberration. I don't like blandly smiling pictures of effeminate Jesus's. I think inspirational poems set over fauna are the height of stupidity. And I absolutely hate the candy-coated nostalgia of Thomas Kinkade. Instead, I produce art that's from the gut, art that speaks to the reality of living spiritually in a secular world. My subject matter is directly derived from scripture, filtered through the lens of a graphic storyteller, and touched by such diverse artistic influences as Hieronymus Bosch, Paul Klee, and Yoko Tanji.
