PATCH is a series of digital images that focuses on the relationship of colors. Each composition explores colors that vibrate, glow and blend with one another. These works are beautiful framed or printed on a massive canvas. The painted abstract works are created with several layers of acrylic on large acid-free printing paper. The layers are scrapped away, scratched and scribbled on to create a rich textural effect that increases the depth of color. Then, a unique rubbing technique gives a stippled effect to the surface of the work. The large pieces are cropped into smaller compositions. These smaller areas are enlarged and enhanced with computer software techniques. The hand of the artist merged with computer technology produces a fresh new abstract composition.
