Artist Statement I was born an artist in Seattle, Washington. I set up my first darkroom in our basement bathroom at the age of eight and have loved photography ever since.

I was formally trained in fine and commercial art at the Burnley School of Professional Art in Seattle. I have worked in the fields of advertising and graphic design, and have owned an art gallery and picture framing business.

My current focus is on PhotoMontages. My PhotoMontages are created by taking a subject photograph and layering it with handmade papers that compliment the original image. The result is new work of art that has depth and texture and a luminescent appearance.
