Description This stunning Gran Premio de Espana Circuito or Spanish Grand Prix poster was created by A Garcia for the Pea Rhin that took place on 31 October 1948. Garcia has taken an unusual viewpoint for this poster, most artists feature the car leading a race for its dramatic effect. However, for this poster the featured car is running in third place at best and chasing the current race leaders. The Pena Rhin Grand Prix was a Grand Prix motor racing event staged at three different circuits in three different eras in Spain. The race was held intermittently over its history, sometimes for full-size Grand Prix cars, sometimes for sports cars. In the 1920s, it was held at a street circuit in Vilafranca del Peneds. In the 1930s at a parkland circuit in Montjuc and in the 1950s it was held at the Pedralbes Circuit.
